Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate’s age should be at least 21 years and maximum 40 years and above.
- Age Limit: 21 years minimum age and 40 maximums
- Application Fee:Gen/OBC: 185, SC/ST: 105, PH Divyang: 25/-
- Pay Scale:9,3000 – 34,800/-.
- Selection Process: selection of the eligible candidates will be done on the basis of written examination pre, written examination main and personal interview

Exam is divided into two parts
प्रारंभिक परीक्षा (Preliminary examination)
मुख्य परीक्षा (Main examination)
1.प्रारंभिक परीक्षा (PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION)
There are two papers under the Preliminary Examination, the first paper is General Studies. 140 multiple choice questions are asked in this paper. Every question is carrying one mark. The second question paper is in Hindi, in which 60 multiple choice questions are asked, for each question there is one mark. The total mark of the exam is 200. The candidate is required to get 60 to 65 percent marks to be successful in this examination.

- adjective & adjectives (विशेष्य और विशेषण) (10 words),

There are 4 question papers in Main Examination of RO/ARO. With total marks of 400 digits.

- दिये हुए गद्यांश का शीर्षक, सारांश एवं तीन रेखांकित अंशों की व्याख्या (The heading of Given Passage, Precis, and explanation of the underlined parts)
- किसी दिये हुए सरकारी पत्र का सारिणी रूप (ज्ंइनसंत थ्वतउ) में सार लेखन(Precis in Tabular Form of any given Govt. Letter) 15 अंक
- पत्रचार (Correspondence ) 24 अंक
- शासकीय/अर्द्धशासकीय पत्र (Official/Demi official letter)
- कार्यालय आदेश/ज्ञाप/परिपत्र (Office Memo/Memo/Circular)
- विज्ञप्ति/टिप्पण एवं प्रतिवेदन/अनुस्मारक (Communique / Annotation & Reports / Reminder)
- पारिभाषित शब्दावली (प्रशासनिक एवं वाणिज्यिक शब्दावली) (Definition Vocabulary (Administrative and Commercial)

Paper -4 हिन्दी निबंध (Hindi Essay)
इस प्रश्नपत्र के अंतर्गत तीन प्रश्न होंगे। प्रत्येक प्रश्न के एक-एक शीर्षक (क/ख/ग) का चयन करते हुए (दी गई शब्द सीमा) में कुल
तीन निबंध लिखने होंगे।

(ग) राजनीतिक क्षेत्र

(ख) प्राकृतिक आपदाएँ-भूस्खलन, चक्रवात, भूकम्प, बाढ़, सूखा इत्यादि।
