HPSC HCS Prelims 2022 Exam Pattern
It consists of two papers, namely,

| General Studies | 100 | 100 Marks | 2 Hours |
| CSAT | 100 | 100 Marks | 2 Hours |
Note:
– Both exams are objective in nature.
– There is 1/4th negative marking for each wrong answer attempted.
– Merit is decided only on the basis of the General Studies paper and only 33% qualifying marks need to be scored in paper 2.
– There is no sectional or subject-specific cutoff.
HPSC HCS 2022 Mains Exam Pattern
It includes 4 papers, namely,

HPSC HCS Interview/Personality Test:
After the main examination, Candidates thrice (three times) the number of advertised posts including bracketed candidates, if any, in order of merit in the main written examination will be called for Personality Test (Viva-voce) which is of 75 marks.
Finally, a total of 675 marks are considered while preparing the final merit list.
